Rally Health

Product Design

Me and my colleagues from Spotlite joined Rally via acquisition in the fall of 2014. The samples of work seen on this page are what remained separate from the work we did for United Healthcare (found here).

The work below underrepresents the volume of what I touched. Not pictured  is the Rally-ized version of the benefits enrollment experience for employees along with product marketing work and communications.

As Creative Director I was responsible for:

Integrating the products I had built at Spotlite (acquired by Rally in 2014) into Rally's ecosystem and aesthetic

Leading and developing small team of a product designer and product manager and integrating them with Rally's XD team based in San Francisco post-acquisition

Working alongside product managers to build UI designs that met requirements and aligned with user stories

Handing off engineering-ready designs to development team

Process and tools:

Adobe Creative Suite

InVision (prototyping)

JIRA

Working at Rally

Going through my first acquisition as Spotlite became part of Rally was a roller coaster of emotions, delays, anticipation, and finally–excitement. In addition to the design work on the product below, we moved offices in downtown Chicago to accommodate what became a rapidly growing team that was already spilling out of our River North loft.

Choice Admin

What started as Spotlite Central became known as Choice Admin within the Rally platform. This was a robust tool for HR and Benefits Managers to set up their company's offerings for open enrollment, manage eligibility rules, make approve/deny decisions, manage employees, and run activity reports.

Rally Rx

Around the time GoodRx started picking up steam, I was asked to join a "strike team" working on our own prescription shopping experience to drive home-delivery, reduce costs, and improve medication adherence. I worked with a small group of product managers and engineers building in Chicago on this project where we occupied our own war room.
