Web Design
Learn what this engagement looks like across scope, timeline, deliverables, and how we'll work together throughout the entire project.
Web Design Overview
We'll dig into your content and audience to ensure alignment on who we're building for and what we're communicating with the website. Then we'll talk about what the definition of success looks like so there's no guessing along the way.
Who It's For
Companies or leaders with a baseline website presence and it's time to increase visibility and maturity of how you show up online.
Length of Engagement
A web design project can take between 2-4 months depending on content, complexity, and needs of the site for the business.
You'll come away with a website that means business and you're excited to share.
A Live Website
Congrats! You're open for business with a new site that now lives at your domain.
Hosting Environment
The site will reside on a server where it can be accessed and backed up for peace of mind. I'm always here to help and support, but you'll be in control of your property.
SEO/AEO Foundation
The site will be created with best practices for how it gets indexed by search engines and understood by LLMs like Claude, OpenAI, and Gemini.
Analytics
Website traffic will be measured so you can see how many visitors there are, where they're coming from, and where they're spending time.
Content Management*
A content management system (CMS) can be included in the site so you or your team can publish new content or make changes on your own into the future.
Gated Access*
If certain content within the site needs to be restricted to registered users, that can be included.
Newsletter*
Reach your audience through their inbox with a newsletter that complements your website. We can create templates, segment audiences, and use it to drive traffic to your business.
Community*
Create a place for your customers or users to gather together in order to connect, learn, and foster loyalty with your brand.
How designing a website looks from start to finish.
This is what you can expect during our web design project as we open new doors online for your business.
1.
Discovery
Get me up to speed on your business and clients. Why are they looking for someone like you and how do you let them know that you're the fit they need?
2.
Information Architecture
We'll go through the structure of your site and map out where everything needs to live and how a user will move through it.
3.
Content Creation and Curation
Each page of the site laid out in the information architecture will need copy that follows the structure of headings, subtitles, text, lists, tables, and more. Each page can be composed in a simple text doc, which I'll take and run with for the next stage. If you need help with the copywriting, I'm happy to help with that.
4.
Wireframes
I'll turn those text docs into page layouts so the content appears in the right place and with the prominence it will have on the site design. These wireframes will show the visual structure we're moving toward in the prototype phase.
5.
Prototypes
Now those wireframes will spring to life in high fidelity designs that start to look like the finished site will. All key pages and interactions will be developed here to confirm the fit and finish before moving it into the web platform.
6.
Staging Preview
The full site will be designed on the web platform where it will be visible in the browser to interact with and move through in a live environment. We'll do this in a non-public environment keeping it for private eyes until complete.
7.
Publish For The Public
Once the staging site is wrapped and tweaks are completed, we'll push it to the real domain where it will now be visible to the world!
What I'll need from you
- An understanding of your current audience size, partnerships, and channels
- Ownership of the domain you plan to use for the site (I can help with this if it's a brand new site)
- Content written for each page identified in the information architecture (This is an upgrade option I'm available for as needed)
- Photography or visuals to be included (this can be added to project scope as necessary)
